What an amazing trip to Sacramento with 100 of Portland’s civic, business and nonprofit leaders for the annual Best Practices Trip. A 30 plus year program created to exchange ideas and pragmatic solutions with similar cities. Over the years, the trips have helped the Portland community be intentional in the making of inclusive and uplifting places through urban design!
We shared our stories of love and hope for our place in Portland. We learned from the wonderful and compelling stories we heard in Sacramento. We drew inspiration from their leadership.
